No Struggle, No Progress

Ex Fires Shot

Disclaimer: All persons are innocent until proven guilty. Life is difficult living as it is, let alone adding poor decision-making to the equation.

Our struggles are challenging yet not impossible to overcome. Many times in the moment, quick decisions lead to impaired judgment. It is important to try to think and act rationally when complicated situations happen. Police were called to respond to a firearm discharge and property damage crime at a northside apartment complex on November 24, 2022, according to police reports. The incident began when suspect Domeca Williams gave her ex-husband permission to visit her children. The children got into a vehicle with her ex-husband, and it was alleged that he decided to move to a different parking spot. While he moved the car, Williams pulled a 9mm handgun in the parking lot and fired a shot at the vehicle striking the rear passenger tire, which startled both her ex-husband and three children in the car. Williams was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Aggravated Criminal Property Damage, and Domestic Abuse Battery Child Endangerment. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes the other or another side of this story.
