No Struggle, No Progress

It is associated with a range of positive emotions, including happiness, excitement, life satisfaction, and euphoria, but it can also result in negative emotions such as jealousy and stress. When love goes south, it can be one's ugliest nightmare! According to police reports, on October 13, 2022, police were called to disrupt a disturbance on Peach St. in West Monroe, LA, by suspect Demarqual Jackson. His girlfriend told police she was struck in her face with a speaker during an argument with him. Two witnesses shared they were there and witnessed the altercation during the argument. Witnesses also told police that the suspect pointed a pistol at them, threatening to allegedly kill them, making them fearful of their safety. A one-year-old was also present, witnessing this horrible ordeal. Police located the suspect in a locked bedroom and placed him under arrest. Upon checking Jackson's records, there were seven counts of burglary, two counts of motor vehicle theft, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. After searching the girlfriend's bedroom, officers found a 45-caliber pistol, two mason jars of marijuana, a plastic bag containing meth, and a meth pipe. The suspect was charged with domestic abuse battery, child endangerment, aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies, and possession of a controlled, dangerous substance.
