MR. MARION OBAFEMI and inspired By: God
My mammy, is never happy, until the first of the month
My pappy’s, head is nappy, and he always gets drunk
My brother, stays in trouble, with the local P.D.
My sister, how I miss her, because she lives in the street
My doctor, couldn’t to stop her, when she cried from the pain
My preacher, couldn’t reach her, with his clout down the drain.
I had a dream, I grew some wings, and like a bird I could fly
I think I need, a trampoline, so I can touch the sky
My veins, are full of cocaine, and I still ain’t high
Ain’t no wonder, I need an onion, so my eyes can cry.
I needed plusses, got disgusted, so I ad-libbed
Now the minus, is all behind us, because I had-skills
Snatching purses, dodging hearses, cutting bad- deals.
Gift of gab, times were bad, I had a talk with the Lord
“Got nothing left, I need your help, before I fall on my sword”.
He gave an answer, “Pull off that pamper, and put your man drawers on
Get out that bed, do what I said, you have to do when you’re grown”.
Hallelujah, no excuses, for being as lame as a duck
Put down that pipe, did what was right, got my a$$ on the bus.
Minimum wage, maximum days, but I’m the king on my throne
I passed the test, theLORD willBLESS, THE CHILDwho works for his own.
