No Struggle, No Progress

Life Insurance Awareness Don't Wait Until It's Too Late

You probably won't see it on your calendar, but September is Life Insurance Awareness Month. It is indeed important to be aware of the importance of life insurance. Nicole C. Davis, a licensed life insurance producer at Anna Schneider State Farm, wants to inform everyone of just how important life insurance is, and how you can plan for yourself, as well as your loved ones. Nicole is fairly new to the insurance industry but has taken it by storm in a matter of months. Nicole began her insurance journey at American Income Life: The Powell Agency in Jackson, Mississippi in 2021; she has been with State Farm since March of this year. In her first two months of being at the company, she's written over $2 million worth of life insurance policies.

"I feel so blessed and so grateful to have achieved that so soon," Davis said. "To achieve something this grand in my 20s is just absolute bliss. I'm nothing without God though. Two of my favorite scriptures are Psalm 138:8 'The Lord will perfect that which concerns me' and Habakkuk 2:2 'Write the vision and make it plain.' I wake up every morning ready to come to the office to make calls about life insurance, provide quotes to existing and prospective clients, and to book appointment dates on my calendar. Anna, Ms. Janie and I are like a triple threat. Most importantly, we're a team; they give me the life clients, and I give them the home and auto. Life insurance in the U.S. began in the 1760s, but it became popular in the mid-1970s. During that era, 72 percent of the adult population and more than 90 percent of all husband-and-wife families owned some form of life insurance.

"Life insurance is very affordable and can be paid monthly or annually. A huge misconception that people have is that it's an arm and a leg," said Davis. Regardless of what the actual price may be, one thing's for certain is that a GoFundMe is NOT life insurance.

Nicole was recently acknowledged and nominated by the Northeast Louisiana Young Professionals and the Monroe Chamber of Commerce at the Top 20 under 40 awards reception. She is the editor of Downsouth Sports Magazine, a magazine published by James Aubrey, III of Monroe LA.
