No Struggle, No Progress
Where do the youth turn, when they go through difficulties? Who listens when they cry out? Who allows them to vent or converse without judging? Who is properly advising them? These questions need to be answered, and not just pondered upon, because the answers are pathways to change and viable solutions. The mental and emotional condition of our youth is the change I'm referring to. Right now, transformation is certainly essential. A great deal of the youth in our communities are faced with more than we ever had to endure as children. They’re under so much pressure, from all sides. This leaves ones not strong enough, trying to numb the pain and escape the pressure. That’s why many are addicted to alcohol and drugs. They are looking for a way of escape and a way to be accepted and feel relevant. It is horrible, but a reality of today’s youth. They’re young and addicted, and if we don’t pull together as a community, many will be young, addicted, in jail or dead. Please, ask the Lord what difference you can make with today’s youth. Support them. Be a genuine and dependable shoulder. Be a solution. Be someone they can safely run to and leave changed. Let’s show them Jesus in all we do. Nobody breaks chains like He does- even addictions.
