No Struggle, No Progress

There is a Cry

Proverbs 19:18 KJV: Chasten thy son while there is hope and let not thy soul spare for his crying There is a cry that is loud and painful. That cry is sounding out through the little boys and girls in our communities. That cry is saying, “Momma, daddy- train me, in the way I should go.” Children need structure. They need education that schools alone aren’t responsible. They need love that they don’t have to try to find in gangs and wrong affiliations. They need support that comes from a family backing and cheering them. They need correction and discipline. They need community- a village. They need parents who talk to them, not just about them. They need love and plenty of it. They need advocates. They need Us! There is no way nightclubs, partying, our own desires or anything else, should overshadow parenting (if we’re able). There are factors that limit some parents, but that’s another topic. Most are able. God hears this cry that’s going out, and He’s watching how we respond as parents and the Body of Christ. When we don’t answer these cries, they become different cries, except the whole world stops just hearing them; we feel them. A lot can be prevented if we would just stay in our proper positions as parents. Let’s do that!
