No Struggle, No Progress

One of the Best

Quincy Travell Timber, Sr was born on August 22, 1985 in Los Angeles, CA to Ricky and Frances Timber. He transitioned from this life on Friday, July 29, 2022, at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He confessed Christ at an early age and united with St. Joe Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Rueben Oliver. He graduated from Wossman High School in Monroe LA in 2004. There is absolutely no doubt about it...Quincy LOVED Wossman. Some might say he lived for homecoming every year. His friends referred to him as Phat Mac or Mac. In July of 2011 he married LaJessica Hunter. They share five children. Everyone knew that Quincy loved his children. His children will remember the secret handshakes they created, the FBB Club, their roasting sessions, and the numerous nicknames (Squirms, Slamma, Pal, Sherman, & amp; Bo) he assigned to them. Quincy's dream was to be a firefighter. His mom reported he would say, "I'm going to put out fires when I grow up." In November of 2015 his dream came true when he graduated from the firefighter academy and became a Monroe City Firefighter. Quincy never met a stranger. He had the ability to put a smile on anyone's face and make them feel important. He enjoyed grilling, boxing, rapping, and joking. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank Robinson, Sr. and Clarice Robinson and his maternal grandparents, Ellis Hamp, Sr and Fannie Hamp. Left to cherish his fond memories are : his wife, LaJessica Timber; one daughter, Kaitlynn Timber; Four sons, Quincy Timber, Jr., Titan Timber, Kaiden Timber, and Boris Timber; One god-daughter, Yasmine Straughter; his father, Ricky Timber, Sr; his mother, Frances Timber; five brothers, Freddie Holland, David Holland, Sr., Tony Denegal, Ricky Timber, Jr., Steven Timber; seven sisters, Natasha Hamp, Shannon Prince (Mont), Shanika Simon (Jano), Tiffany Timber, Carolyn Timber, Kalena Timber, Kellie Johnson (Henry); and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A balloon launch and candlelight vigil is Friday August 5 at 7:30 pm at Wossman High School Football Stadium. Continue to pray for the family and each other. We all have an expiration date, once we have fulfilled his purpose, but we will never know when. Continue to love and forgive.
