Hardy Rogers Washington, Sr. 85, was born on June 26, 1936 in Rayville LA to Allen and Ethel Washington. He was the second youngest child of eight. His siblings three brothers and four sisters are William, Cardell and Allen. Rozelia, Delphia Turner and Allie. Preceding Hardy in death were his parents, two brothers, one sister, one daughter Sonja Marie Washington and his wife Etta Washington. Hardy Sr. graduated from Rhymes High School in Rhymes LA. He was united in marriage to Etta Washington and together they moved to Kansas City MO. Two children were born to this union Sonja and Hardy Jr. Hardy Sr. was a member of Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City MO. He was employed with the Kansas City Parks and Recreation for over 33 years. He loved catfish, buffalo fish, southern food, while he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
