No Struggle, No Progress

God Usually Calls the Ordinary

Submitted By Dr. Joseph W. Capers Sr.

Many Christians feel that they are not called by God because of their circumstances. Some have made wrong decisions or have been discouraged by others. They underestimate their ability and talents. Success and failure depends on the standards of measurement. We often judge ourselves and others by our inadequate yardstick. For the comparison of success or failure we must use the proper instrument for measuring. God is impressed by man's achievement that enhances the welfare of others. Only those who accept Christ by faith receive God's approval. One's racial status has nothing to do with God's standard for success. Your social status has little or nothing to do with God's standard of success. God's usually calls the ordinary, the weak and despised to be involved in his program. God really cares for his own. God's care is most clearly seen in God's provision for our salvation. Note: God so loved the world he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16)
