No Struggle, No Progress

First Impressions

Hello everyone! This week I’m going to be discussing First Impressions. You never get a second chance to make a first impression”. I believe that statement to be true because the first impression is usually the lasting one. First Impressions can make or break you. For instance, if you are late or dressed inappropriately, then others may think you're not reliable. But, if you are early or on time, and dressed appropriately, then others will be more inclined to think you can be depended upon to accomplish goals. Trying to make a good first impression can be nerve-racking because you want to prove to another person that you can do well at the task you are seeking to undertake. The best thing to do is to take deep breaths and calm yourself down. If you've prepared yourself properly for the moment, then you will do as well as you have convinced yourself that you would. I would advise you to always be respectful, and of course, say “Yes Sir” or “No Sir” and “Yes Ma'am” or “No Ma'am”, shake the person's hand when you meet them, and make sure to keep eye contact with the person. Another general rule is to always be at least 15 minutes early for an appointment. I was once told, “If you’re 10 early, then you’re 5 minutes late”. That’s all I have for now. Until next time…
