Thomas Jefferson Upper Recognition

Thomas Jefferson Upper Elementary School in Monroe, LA recognized a few distinguished individuals recently. Kailee Hamilton was named the 2022-2023 Student of the Year at Thomas Jefferson Upper Elementary. She is a fifth-grade student who has worked extremely hard to become Student of the year. She is pictured above with her mother, Amecia Hamilton, who is a third-grade teacher at Thomas Jefferson Upper Elementary. Coach Andrew Finley, the school's Physical Education teacher, was named the 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year. He is respected by his peers and the students at Thomas Jefferson, who enjoy his physical education classes. Ms. Destiny Hardwell was announced as the school's Support Personnel of the Year. Her work ethic is impeccable. She always goes the extra mile to fulfill her job duties. Danzie Pierce is the Principal at Thomas Jefferson Upper Elementary.
