No Struggle, No Progress
Relationships are sometimes tricky, perhaps more often tricky because of the individuals. If there is no understanding or getting to know an individual very well, complications can and will develop. Sometimes one of the individuals may want more than what he/she is willing to give but still expect more. What makes matters worse is when one or the other feels they can leave and come back when they get ready. Life doesn't work that way. According to police reports, that happened recently when an individual was in a relationship with someone after parting with someone else. Reports convey that suspect Jakyaha A. Brown allegedly went to a former partner's residence and started beating on the victim's door. The victim let Brown in and was immediately attacked. The altercation ended with Brown and the victim falling onto a bed, where there was another individual. During the altercation, the individual in the bed alleged that Brown used a taser. Police said that the suspect left the residence when Monroe Police arrived at the scene. Upon interviewing both the victim and the witness, the responding officer corroborated both accounts and apprehended Brown after getting an arrest warrant. Brown allegedly told police that she was invited in by the victim. She was charged with Home Invasion and Battery of a Dating Partner. As one was ready to move on, the other appeared to want to continue the relationship from their past. It's best to move on. Hopefully, it can save some headaches in the future, not to mention a criminal record. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or the other side to this story.
