No Struggle, No Progress

"He anointed my head with oil", is used as a metaphor, for God's word being poured into my mind
Its like oil getting between my thoughts, to smooth out my crooked walk, so my steps do not cross the line.
My head holds this oil like a cup, that's so full that I have just enough, to give to somebody else
This load is heavy upon my shoulders, my full cup is running over, so I must go out and share the wealth.
With the people who live in the streets, with two eyes but still they cant see, two ears but can't hear the Lord talk
They have two lips that can not speak, two legs and two feet, but can't pick up their beds and walk.
They need the word of God, like a black man needs a job, or a motor needs oil to run
When the word is applied, it will open their eyes, and a new creature they will become.
They won't be sad, get hot or get mad, until they blow their heads off like its a gasket
They will live out their lives to the fullest, and won't have to dodge red hot bullets, or sleep like their bed is a casket.
Like an athlete playing a sport, I'm leaving it all on the court, no bullets will be left in my gun
I will have no thoughts of regret, because I will give it my best, before the fat lady's song was sung
When God asks me what I did, with the oil He trusted me to give, I'll say, "It was poured into cups that had none".
To the grave, where my body is going
There's no place, to share what I'm knowing
I am one to whom much has been given
So, my job is unlocking mental and spiritual prisons
I know that from me much is required
And, I do my best not to get fired
So, when my life is over and my shift is up
I want to leave this world with "AN EMPTY CUP"...
