Cloman Selected to HBCU National Alumni Association

As the new year commences with varied new beginnings, Monroe native, Shannon Cloman, has been newly elected as president of the National Alumni Association of Alabama State University, Montgomery, AL. Having attended and graduated from the university, Shannon was actively engaged in many activities and organizations. Upon graduating from ASU, he became an active member of the alumni association and currently recruits and aids students from U.S. high schools with scholarship opportunities and other university offerings. His reign began January 1, 2022 and will continue until the next election season. He has held various positions with the association, including vice-president, thus crafting him for the position he now holds. He is married to Mrs. Kamaron Cloman of Silver Spring, MD who is also a member of the association. They share one son, Chandler. He is the son of the late Sherman Cloman and Ms. Azuleanden "Lena" Cloman of Shreveport, LA. His early education began at Swayze and Berg Jones Elementary Schools, Jefferson Junior High School and Wossman High School in Monroe, LA. His entire family and friends congratulate him on this awesome accomplishment and wish him well as he leads the Hornets to greater heights.
