No Struggle, No Progress

B----h Where You At

It is a new year, and some people still try to settle disagreements the violent way. While most of us try to live in peace with our neighbor or other people, conflicts happen. It's how an individual attempts to handle a conflict or matters. It can mean the difference between apologizing, going your own way and in an increasing number of cases, going to jail. That is what happened to Keneka Dann Bennett 35, according to Monroe Police. According to police reports, Bennett allegedly went to confront someone at an apartment complex to settle a conflict or situation. Police said Bennett went to the apartment complex on knocked loudly on the door, demanding the victim inside, to come outside. Police said that Bennett yelled, "bi-h where ya' at", as she allegedly had a box cutter in hand. When the intended victim didn't answer, police said Bennett "kicked the door" opened, swinging at the victim with the box cutter. But Bennett was restrained by bystanders on the scene, even as one of the bystanders was said to have been injured by the box cutter.Police officers confronted Bennett where she was held for questioning concerning the incident and she allegedly admitted making entrance into the apartment. She also admitted that she was armed with the box cutter, according to police. She was placed under arrest. Bennett was taken to the Ouachita Correctional Center(OCC), as she was charged with Home Invasion and Simple Criminal Damage to Property. One has to ask, "was it worth it?". Walking away can be the better choice. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or the other side of this story.
