No Struggle, No Progress
1 CORINTHIANS 15:33 “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. For most, being accepted and included is desirable. It’s natural to want to belong. Loneliness and rejection can both cut deeply; so it's understandable that one wants family, friendship, companionship and community, to be a part of. It’s when a person goes from desire to desperation, that's the problem. In this cookie cutter, celebrity type world- many are under a strong deceptive belief, that fitting in and being popular, are gain; it’s not. Godliness with contentment is gain. Not only should we as adults know this, but it should be instilled in our children. Do your children know that desperation can lead to the wrong affiliation? Being desperate to fit in, can cause them to associate themselves with the wrong people, and that can be very dangerous. It can be extremely dangerous if they begin to do just anything to impress others. Raise your children in the fear of the Lord. Talk to them about how awesome it is to be unique. Let them know how amazing they are, because they stand out. Teach them that being different is a blessing. If not, Satan will be glad to lie to them. That’s where the evil communication starts. When children (adults too) get caught up in relationships where there is often evil communication, the only thing that happens if it continues, is corruption. Don’t be deceived though parents, that music, social media and television could be conduits of evil communication as well. It’s time to take our children back! Let’s be proactive. Let’s be more attentive and involved. It starts at home. It's essential we pay more attention to whom our children communicate with. We should be careful who our children befriend, what they're influenced by, and also, make sure they aren’t the evil communication, corrupting someone else. Also, let’s make sure as parents- that we aren’t the evil communication corrupting our own children.
