DownSouth Sports' MVP

Last week DownSouth Sports Magazine awarded two Game of the Week MVP's. Thursday night September 30, 2021 game featured OCS vs. St. Frederick. Ouachita Christian's defensive back, Tate Hamby was named MVP. He had a scoop and score TD from a blocked punt in the 3rd quarter and an interception in the 4th to help give the Eagles at 25-7 come from behind victory over the Warriors. Friday's October 1, 2021 game was between Neville and West Monroe. Neville running back, Anthony Allen, Jr. rushed for 259 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Tigers defeated the Rebels for the first time since 1995. The final score was 28-7.
