No Struggle, No Progress
In 2007 actor's Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson starred in a movie titled The Bucket List. In the movie the twosome meet while sharing a hospital room. Through sharing a space they share conversation and the desire to complete a list of random things they want to do and see before they die. The two leave the hospital against doctor's orders to explore and complete things on their bucket list together.
I saw the movie a few years after it came out in theaters, and loved the idea of coming up with a list of things to do before death, so I begin making a list of my own. My list has a variety of things to do. Ride in an 18-wheeler, go to Europe alone, do a zip line, ride in a private plane, and visit Mascur museum are a few of the things I have done that were on my bucket list. Entering an eating contest, visit Hot Springs, go to WrestleMania, and riding on a horse are a few of the many other things that remain on my list.
Looking back and seeing all of the things listed that I have been able to put a check by makes me feel good. Every time I look at the list I am reminded of the memories for the experiences. Seeing the unmarked items serves as a reminder of things I still wish to accomplish.
I recommend that everyone creates their own bucket list of things to do no matter their age. Once it's written opportunities will be presented to fulfilling what's on your list. Simple be open to writing it down, and willing to go all do!
