Forever in Our Hearts

Mr. Floyd Green Sr., 85, was called home to be the Lord on Thursday, September 2, 2021, after a brief illness. Mr. Green was born to the union of the late Thomas Green Sr. and Mary Menyweather from Monroe, LA. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Nola F. Green of Farmerville, LA, one daughter Nola M. Green, one son, Clifton Anthony, who was killed in the line of duty during the Vietnam War, his parents, two sisters, and six brothers. Mr. Green was a quiet man who worked hard to support his family. He supported his children to make sure they were successful in life. He was a God-fearing Catholic who was a faithful member of Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church in Monroe, LA. Mr. Green was a wise man who understood and knew the value of education and instilled those core values in his children. Left to cherish fond memories are four sons - Robert Green, Hubert Green (Natasha), Floyd Green Jr. (Lierre), and Lloyd Green (Terez); three daughters - Martha Charles (Ramsey), Jackie Brown (Keith), and Ann Williams (Joseph); one brother - Jimmie Wheaton (Ethel); two brothers-in-law - Carl Brown (Mary) and Steve Mitchell; sisters-in-law - Albertine Green, Ernestine Green (Sno), Linda Singleton, and Sarah Thomas (Edward); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. Mr. Green will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. Funeral arrangements will be announced from Miller Funeral Home.
