No Struggle, No Progress
Sometimes it is hard to let go of some things that happened in the past. For some, if not many, it is not so easy to forgive and forget. The past is the past, and what happened should stay in the past. Depending on whatever happened in the past, forgiving and forgetting can be a bitter pill to swallow. Something that is bitter to taste yet good for us can interfere with a healing process that we will need to at least forgive, even if it is hard for some to forget. A domestic dispute turned ugly recently between a married couple when the wife allegedly stabbed her husband with a knife. According to police, the wife, identified as suspect Shakeisha Franklin, 22, and her unidentified husband got into an argument over a past relationship. The argument continued until Franklin, according to reports, "lost her temper". It was then that she allegedly stabbed the husband with a kitchen knife. The knife was somehow taken away from Franklin by the husband, who fled and contacted police officers. He suffered injuries to his forehead; Franklin admitted that she did stab him and was taken to Ouachita Correctional Center, where she was charged with Aggravated Battery. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes the other or another side of this story.
