Dr. Henry Bonner Jr.'s Rich Legacy

Henry Bonner, Jr., 98, was born on December 2, 1922. He went home to be with the Lord on August 6, 2021. God blessed Bonner to be a blessing to others. His demeanor was warm, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those he encountered. Dr. Bonner possessed a genuine spirit and was an inspiration to others through kindness. He was a devoted family man but still found time to sit on various boards with intentions to uplift people. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, LA, where he served as former Director of Louisiana Non-Profit Religious Corporation. Dr. Bonner was also a former President of Claiborne Creek Inc., Northeast Louisiana Health Education and Planning Association Inc., Passman Plaza Inc., and Passman Plaza ll Inc. His vision of a retirement community in South Monroe became a reality with the South Pointe Retirement Community for senior citizens to live comfortably in their later years. His humanitarian efforts spoke volumes of his commitment to ensure that all citizens were treated with dignity and respect. Those who knew Dr. Bonner knew he broke barriers to ensure everyone had the opportunity to succeed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Bonner. His funeral services are incomplete at press time. Please keep the Bonner family in your prayers.
