The Gloria Chorus will host its 2021 Summer Cantata "A Day In The Son" Saturday, Aug. 7 at 6 pm at Bethel Baptist Church, 200 S. 22nd St., Monroe. LA featuring choral and gospel selections by chorus founder/director Tawanna James. The event will feature special guest Mr. Ricky Davis of Arcadia, LA, "The Northeast Louisiana Gospel Music Man and Historian". Between Saturday, July 17, and Friday, July 23, 2021, the Gun Violence Archive tracked at least 915 shooting incidents -- or, a shooting every 12 minutes -- that left at least 430 people dead and 1,007 wounded.
