Debra McGee Treasured Memories

Debra Renee McGee was born October 5, 1975 in Monroe, LA to the late Hosea McGee Sr. and Freddie Mae Kirby-McGee. She received her final wings on June 16, 2021, passing away peacefully at home.

Debra was a Lincoln Elementary, Carroll Jr., and Carroll High School 1994 graduate. She was a member of the Carroll Bulldog band and later worked with the Carroll band alumni. Debra served at Swanson Correctional Center as a Captain and Juvenile Justice Specialist for over 20 years. She loved kids, crossword puzzles, shopping, reading, and being with her OES sisters. Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Hosea Sr. and Freddie Mae Kirby-McGee; brother, Michael Dewayne McGee; and sister, Shelia Renee McGee.

Cherishing her memories are three children - Crystal Lashae McGee and Porchea Lachea Goins of Monroe, LA, and Orlando Christopher McGee (Marisol) of Dallas, TX; two brothers - Charles Edward Kirby-Rutley of California and Hosea McGee Jr. Slidell, LA; four sisters - Julia Marie Kirby, Stephanie Kirby Hunt, Janice Marie McGee, and Natasha Denise McGee, all of Monroe, LA; three grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Debra also had a special group of OES sisters and Mason brothers. Visitation is Thursday, June 24, 2021, 5:00 - 8:00 PM at McFarland Funeral Chapel in Monroe, LA. Funeral services are Friday, June 25, 2021, 11:00 AM at Faith Harvest Baptist Church, Monroe, LA.
