No Struggle, No Progress
Hearts are saddened at the passing of Ellis Lowe on Monday, May 24, 2021. Ellis was a people person who never met a stranger. His outgoing personality was contagious and energetic. He was a Vietnam veteran and a Grambling State University graduate. He found success working and retiring from General Motors. Former co-workers knew and thought the world of him as many expressed on the job that time passed so fast working with Lowe. He was very well-read and could speak on many subjects. He was a loyal Gramblinite and never missed any of the university's athletic events. Many times, Lowe and his mother would be seen together in attendance. He loved music and could sing well since he was a natural entertainer. Later in life, Lowe found the Lord and became a pastor, leading his own church in Ruston, LA. Lowe lived in Monroe, LA for many years until his mother's health began to fail, moving him back to Farmerville, LA to care for her. Left to cherish fond memories are his two sons, Sean and Brian Lowe, among many family and friends. His funeral services will be announced from the funeral home.
