No Struggle, No Progress
When diplomacy doesn't work, some will take situations to the extreme. Most often, tensions heighten when people don't realize that the moment's actions have consequences, especially when deadly force becomes the alternative. According to police reports, a domestic dispute transpired on May 6, 2021, in Richwood, LA, in Southpark. Suspect Porchea L. Goins alleged the victim tackled her onto her bed when she grabbed a shotgun beside her. Goins then fired the shotgun to get the victim off her. She then proceeded to break a window out of the victim's vehicle to prevent him from getting his handgun. Goins allegedly pushed him then hit him in the face. As the victim was attempting to leave, the suspect fired the shotgun striking the wall beside him, leaving him fearful. He eventually was about to escape, running from the residence into the street. While outside, the victim watched Goins break a window out of his vehicle with the shotgun to retrieve the victim's pistol. The suspect allegedly re-entered the residence to destroy property while waiting for deputies. Goins was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated burglary, simple criminal property damage, and simple battery. There are three sides to every story.
