No Struggle, No Progress
Jerald S. Armstard was born on December 19, 1952 to Mack N Armstard (father) and Savannah Armstard (mother) in Monroe LA. She went on in life relocating to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, started a family and continued her education. Later on, after graduating from Job Corp, she began her career in healthcare where she worked 30+ years at Oklahoma University Medical Center. A book of tales could be written about this extraordinary life. Jerald loved to dance everywhere she went, whether it was at work, home, the casino or at the club in her favorite thigh high boots! Her motto was simple: "Live each day like it's your last and make sure you're dancing while you do it!". There was never a dull moment around Jerald, she instilled her work ethic, discipline, determination, and love not only in her children and grandchildren, but any soul she came in contact. One thing about Jerald, "she told you how the cow eats the cabbage." Honest Abe had nothing on her. This was the most infatuating thing about her, that will be taken with every soul she touched. Stories shall go on and her presence will remain a legacy through the end of time. This is not the ending for our mother, grandmother, friend, confidant, and many vocal descriptions of Jerald S. Armstard aka "Lil Diva J" or "JJ Honey". Her new life has begun, never forget where you come from, stand firm, now it's our turn to live the life she gave us. She is preceded in death by Savannah and Mack Armstard (parents), Maxine Armstard(sister), Eddie Hollins(brother), Elmore Armstard(brother), Maxi Armstard(sister), Vincent Armstard (son) and Seven Ray Simmons (grandson). Always There
When you remember me, please do not weep. My body may not be there, it has chosen to sleep.
I'm not that far away. My soul lives on, looking down, watching over you and everyone. And when you feel sad and life seems so blue, just remember that my spirit has its arms around you. And on those special days, times that you wish I could see, that cool breeze flowing pass you... well, that will be me. So, don't be sad. Have no fear. God has taken me under his wing, but I'll always be near. I still watch you every minute, every day. My love and soul are with you, and that's where it will stay.
