India Perry's Precious Memories

India Alexis Perry, 25, was born October 23, 1996 to Christi Perry and Roy Price in Monroe, LA at EA Conway Hospital (LSU Ochsner Monroe Medical Center). When India was born, she had a red dot in the middle of her forehead like an Indian from India. She attended Shady Grove Elementary School, Shadow Hill Jr. High, Pete Knight High School of Palmdale, CA, Ouachita Parish High School, and graduated from Richwood Parish High School in May 2016. Some of her school activities included participating on the dance team, Dandelions, and the Richwood Concert Choir. She accepted Christ at the King Ollie Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of her grandfather, Pastor John L. Perry Sr., where she was an active member of the choir and liturgical dance ministry. At the time of her death, she was employed at McDonald's in West Monroe, LA. She departed this life on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Ochsner/LSU Monroe Medical Center in Monroe, LA. Final rites for India Perry will be Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Greater New Antioch Baptist Church, 301 Sherrouse Avenue, Monroe, LA. Visitation will be Friday, March 5, 2021, 3:00 - 5:00 PM. Family hour is scheduled for 6:00 PM at the King Ollie Missionary Baptist Church, 3903 Harvester Drive, Monroe, LA. She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving daughter, Avery Walker, Monroe, LA; mother, Christi Perry; father Roy Price; three brothers, Cpl. David Perry, Camp Pendleton, Jonathan Perry, and Caleb Perry, Monroe, LA; one sister, Kirrianna Wright, Monroe, LA, maternal grandparents, Rev. John L Sr. and Minister Mary Perry, Monroe, LA; aunts, Pia Williams and Minister Candice (Rev. John L. ) Russell II, Monroe, LA, Donna Wilson, Mattie Higgins, and Rosemary Price; three uncles, Rev John L. (Tuesday) Perry Jr., Chattanooga, TN, Carlos (Michelle) Perry, and Verges Taylor (Tiffany) Monroe, LA; Alex Price; Michael Price; Allen Price; and a host of cousins, family, and friends.
