Sister Jessie Mae Hollins Jones was born January 13, 1928. She entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in Dallas, TX. Celebration Services for 93 years of life for Sister Jones were conducted on February 1, 2021 at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home of Dallas, TX. Reverend William E. Armstrong, pastor of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of West Monroe, officiated and delivered the eulogy. Sister Jones received her formal education in Shreveport, LA where she graduated from Central Colored High School and Spaulding Business College. She was a former employee of Weil Cleaners of Monroe. Sister Jones was employed by Ouachita Parish School System as secretary of Swayze Elementary School where she retired after over 20 years of service. She is survived by three loving and devoted children: James Etta Wilson, Donald R. Jones (Delois), and Patricia J. Wilson, all of Dallas, TX; one granddaughter, Shaunte' L. Wilson, Arlington, TX; six grandsons: John T. Wilson, Jr., Dallas, TX; Raynor T. Jones (Wendy), Breaux Bridge, LA; DeNaus L. Jones (Sheniqua); Donald R. Jones, Jr. (Shamika); Terrance L. Jones, and Amos R. Jones (Rinisha), all of Dallas, TX; ten great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
