Our beautiful and sweet Pauline Lucille Underwood aka Pie was born July 23, 1949 to the late Dorothea Underwood and Samuel D. Cyrus. She completed her journey and God called her home on Sunday February 7, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Opelousas LA. Pauline attended and graduated from Richardson High School in 1967. During her high school years, she was blessed to be crowned Homecoming queen in junior year. She also attended Grambling State University for some time. She loved God and accepted Christ as her Lord & Savior. She loved going to church. She attended Bethel Baptist Church and St Joe Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ruben L Oliver. Pauline was a long-time employee of St Francis Medical Center working in the Housekeeping and Laundry. Pauline touched the lives of so many people with her kind heart, beautiful smile and sweet spirit. If you met her once, you would never have been no stranger. She loved football and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Pauline was someone who could light up a party especially if there was dancing. She was crowned Valentine Queen at the Senior Valley Nursing Home where she resided in Opelousas, LA. Our beloved Pauline will be cherished in our hearts forever. Her life and legacy will live on in the lives of her three children; Edward Baker, Sr. (Jacquelyn) Opelousas LA, Nicholas Baker , Sr. (Sharon) DeSoto TX, Tonya James (Mark) Grand Prairie,TX; twelve grandchildren, Edward Baker, Jr (Melanie) San Antonio, TX, Jarius Baker Denton, TX, LaFrances Holland, Cabrina Holland f Grand Prairie, TX, Cordarius Baker Cedar Hill, TX, Destiny Ellis DeSoto, TX, Nick Baker Sr, Erion Baker, Errin Baker, Jalah Tanner and Jaleah Tanner Monroe, LA.; two great-grandchildren, Karina Freeman & Maliyah Holland Grand Prairie, TX; longtime friend, Glen Myles West Monroe LA, former spouse & father of her children, Willie Baker Rayville, LA; one sister, Wanda "Teka" Underwood-Dunlap (Eric); two brothers, Gary Jackson Chicago, IL (Angela) and Al Jackson (Paulette) Baton Rouge, LA; one Special Niece, Jacqueline Whitaker Fort Sill OK and host of other uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services are Saturday February 13, 2021 at 2pm at Miller Funeral Home Chapel 2932 Renwick St. Monroe LA. Visitation is Friday February 12, from 2-4 pm.
