No Struggle, No Progress
Death is something the Neal family has experienced, but this time it hits differently. Last week the family received the sad news that the youngest of the clan was found dead. Brianna Neal was walking home from a store she frequently visited, only this time she did not make it home. Neal, along with her friend, was tragically hit and killed by a motorist. Her family is now in mourning and remember their sweet Brianna. Neal attended Richwood High School, where she was in her junior year of school. Born on January 19, she had just celebrated her 17th birthday a few weeks before the fatal accident. She celebrated her birthday in a quiet celebration at home. In years prior to the pandemic, she celebrated with family and friends. Her family remembers her boisterous spirit, as she was someone who loved to dance and sing. Her family especially remembers her love for making Tic Tok videos like most her age. She also participated in church as a praise dancer and youth choir member before the pandemic hit. She had one son, Dedrick, 2, who was the joy of her life. Brianna lost her mother, who died of a heart attack at a young age, so her grandparents and aunt reared her. She shared a close relationship with her grandmother, Mrs. Joycelyn Givens, whom she lovingly called MawMaw. She was preceded in death by her mother, and her grandfather, Freddie Lee Givens. Left to cherish her memory are her grandmother, Mrs. Joycelyn Givens; two sisters, Brittany Neal and Joyce Neal; one loving aunt, Francesca Neal; one son, Dedrick Neal; and a host of family and friends. Her wake is scheduled for Wednesday, February 3, 2021, 1:00-4:00 PM at McFarland Funeral Home. Her graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, February 4, 2020, 11:00 AM at Richwood Memorial Gardens.
Please keep the Neal family in your prayers.
