No Struggle, No Progress
The holidays usually bring out the softer side of people. Most people are found at home, enjoying the warmth of hot drinks and family. Songs speak of the peace and harmony the season brings. Even the earth gets a break, as it turns in early from its duties of holding the sun longer in the day. Some, however, don't relish in the peace of the season. According to police reports, on December 11, 2020, Quocharika Cobb and Krishelle McFarland were both arrested after an argument turned into a scuffle. It is alleged that Cobb showed up to McFarland's home belligerent and was asked to leave. After exchanging words, her anger peaked, and she attacked McFarland. They began to fight each other until they were separated. McFarland sustained many bruises on her face and called the police. After the police were called, McFarland allegedly picked up a broom from inside the home and proceeded to return to fighting Cobb outside, this time hitting her with the broom she had in hand. The police arrived at the scene and arrested both women; Cobb received simple battery charges while McFarland was charged with aggravated battery. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes the other or another side of this story,
