Carroll 1956 Sweethearts

There was love in the air in Monroe LA at Carroll High School 57 years ago. Willie and Lela Robinson were 1956 Carroll High School Classmates and Sweethearts. This year 2020 marked their 57th Wedding Anniversary. Willie and Lela are both Southern University Graduates. Willie was a 1960 honor graduate with a B.S. in business administration. During his college years, he was Basileus of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, senior class vice president and Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. After college, Willie served two years in the U.S. Army and was one of the first African Americans to be hired by Texaco in Chicago IL in 1963 where a joint venture with Saudi Arabia was formed in 1989 upon becoming assistant controller and retiring after 33 years of service in 1996. Willie and Lela are the parents of three children Stanley, twins Sharon and Lisa and grandparents of four grandchildren Brandon, Jessica, Alexia and Kamryn. Congratulations Willie and Lela!
