No Struggle, No Progress

The End Is Near

In 1964 Eula D. Britton High School a black school in Rayville, LA won the 2A basketball championship Elvin Hayes, Harry Lewis, and myself Henry Davison were on that team. When it came time to celebrate our notable achievement, the leadership of the town of Rayville, and the school board wouldn't allow the band and students to March through the town, rejecting our institution. Today Harry Lewis is mayor of Rayville. Elvin Hayes is in the Basketball Hall of Fame. and Henry Davison is president/ CEO of his family business in Rayville, DFALLC. Over the years some of our race have spoken harshly against Elvin Hayes, stating he rejected Rayville, actually when he was a young boy, Rayville rejected him and Eula D. Britton High School. We as a people should not engage in slandering one another, let's respect our race and accomplishments. We have been blessed by God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Well Bless God! Therefore, let's praise our Lord Jesus Christ, and praise him for not rejecting us. Children of God keep on marching. One of these days we shall get home. Well Bless God! Superintendent, Henry Davison
