No Struggle, No Progress
The fish was smelling and looking good as well as the French fries at a community fish fry held on Burg Jones Lane Monday (Nov.30) afternoon. The tasty delicacies was sponsored by The Life Changers of NELA, and community organization lead by community activist Damian Coleman. The event was called "A Stop the Violence Community Appreciation Fish Fry", to make the people aware of the violence not only in some areas, but to the entire city of Monroe. The event was held in the parking lot of Quick Stop Fish Shop, which was a co-sponsor along with Ros-Ros' Snowball Stand. Organizers also wanted to thank the Burg Jones Lane community and people throughout Monroe for showing up to make the event a success. There was a steady line of fish lovers and everyone had a good time.
