No Struggle, No Progress

World's Biggest Sore Loser

Two weeks have passed since this year's Presidential election and the current sitting president, Donald Trump, still refuses to concede. The electoral college count is now 290-Biden, 232-Trump. While everyone, including Trump's current White House staff, are preparing for what their work will be post-White House, Trump is ignoring his advisory team and critics. Earlier this week, Michelle Obama tweeted a photo of herself alongside President Obama on their final walk from the White House. In her caption that accompanied the picture, she talked about how smoothly the Bush's made the transition for her and her family; she'd done the same when it was time to pass the torch to the Trumps as they became the new occupants of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Yet and still, President Trump still refuses to cut his losses or provide any information for the incoming administration to prepare to do its job.

A transition has to happen. A transition will happen, whether people agree to it or not. His ideology reflects a horrible mentality that some Elitists have, especially if they don't "win". It sends a bad message to the American people and the world as they watch the commander-in-chief throw a temper tantrum since he didn't get his way. It sets a horrible tone of how future leaders should act when in power. Sure, it certainly isn't the first time the country's leader has thrown a fit, but we all have been hoping for the best; given the circumstances of the year, many would even say it's the least he could do. It's clear President Trump is unaware of how he really appears, nor does he care, because, in his world, it doesn't matter; he can do as he pleases whether he is actually right or wrong because...he's always "right". It doesn't make sense to me either; despite this horrible scene playing out before our eyes. There is a teachable moment for us all to remember. It's ok to lose; just don't be a sore loser.
