Newspaper Retraction in the article Carjacking Death in the Monroe Dispatch October 29-November 4, 2020 edition was printed that Dennis Reed was the victim of a carjacking death. This information was incorrect, and Dennis Reed was not the victim of a carjacking. The Monroe Dispatch apologizes to the Reed Family for our incorrect newspaper reporting. Dennis Reed 56, was a loving caring husband, father and grandfather loved by many who was born July 25, 1964.. Dennis loved the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing and outdoor activities. Dennis was a Richwood High School 1983 Graduate. He lost his life to the battle of lung cancer. Dennis went home to be with the Lord on October 27, 2020. His funeral graveside services is Saturday November 7, 2020 at 2pm at Richwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Friday November 6 from 4:30 until 6:30 P.M. at Smith Funeral Home in Monroe LA.
