Charles David Hill Sr., the father of Donald Sr., Rickey, Charles Jr., and Tremaine Hill, Rita, Terry and Howard "Ray Richardson was born in Choudrant LA February 26, 1934. He was raised up on farms as a child in Downsville, Bosco, Buckhornbend and on North 18th St. in Monroe LA, where Brookshires is today. Charles's Father was Libert Hill who was a professional farmer. While living in Monroe LA, Charles worked for B.F. Goodrich Tire Store which was located on North 9th and Louisville Ave. driving a service truck, and ran a restaurant the Busy Bee Club at night in the 1950's and 1960's which was across the street from Rankins Auto Parts is today. He also ran a pawn shop Charles' Loans for 27 years in Oakland CA. Charles was a lifetime member of the Oakland Raider Professional Football Booster Club and was a season ticket holder. He enjoyed watching baseball and football. His favorite great players were San Francisco Giants Willie Mays, Oakland A's Reggie Jackson, Oakland Raiders Daryl "the Mad Bomber" Lamonica and Kenny "Snake" Stabler. Charles passed away October 15, 2020. Left to cherish memories are four sons Donald Hill Sr. (Ruth), Rickey Hill Monroe LA, Charles Hill Jr. (Michelle), Tremaine Hill Oakland CA, sisters Georgia Kennedy, Lizzie King, Doris Hill, Jerri Holmes, Mattie Rodgers, Edna Hill Johnson, Gladys Hill Andersons, brothers Billy Hill, Luther Ben Hill, Elbert Henry Hill and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Ariese Elzie. Wake service is Friday November 6, from 5-6 pm at Hester Funeral Home Monroe LA. Donald Hill Sr. enjoyed the ride with his Dad Charles David Hill Sr., Love you Dad!
