Sister Brenda Faye Wheeler-Reese was born on January 21, 1955 to the late Eddie Lines and the late Leola Wheeler in Bastrop LA. She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age. Brenda attended the historical Morehouse Elementary School while graduating from Our Lady Help of Christian (OLHC). As a student at OLHC, she was a standout basketball star and surefire three-point shooter. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Paul Reese Jr in March of 1973. To this union two amazing beautiful daughters, Shemetia LaChaunce (Trevor) and Arnetrice Chante' (Mark) blessed the family. Affectionately known to many as Ms. Brenda, she worked in food services but was remembered as the manager of Church's Chicken of Bastrop LA for over 30 years. Lovingly known as Faye to her family, Brenda was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment. She loved her role as a grandmother, aunt, sister and great grandmother. Always punctual and adamant about holidays and family gatherings, she reveled in the time she spent with her family. Her world became brighter with the birth of great-granddaughter Peyton. Brenda went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2020Left to cherish fond memories are husband of 47 years Paul Reese Jr., daughters Shemetia and Arnetrice Reese, six grandchildren Area, Parris (Denzel) Jordan, Madison, Memphis and Mecki two sisters Frankie Conway and Reana Wheeler Bastrop LA, five brothers, Donnie Lines, Larry Wheeler (Willie Mae), Ronald Wheeler Bastrop LA. Crawford Wheeler (Kiyoka) Fayetteville NC, Robert Wheeler (Rebecca) Oceanside CA and a host nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral services were Tuesday October 27, 2020 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Bastrop LA.
