I have crossed my T's and dotted my I's, and made sure my ducks are in a row

I've been on my knees with tears in my eyes, expecting your power would show.

I have followed the golden rule, did what you told me to, I've been quick to listen and slow to speak

I don't treat nobody wrong, I help the weak since I'm strong, because as a man sow shall he reap.

I know ain't nobody coming down, from the clouds, to do for me what I can do

So, I place both hands on the plow, and eat by the sweat of my brow, and work to make my dreams come true.

I have fasted, prayed and kept the faith

I have worked in the vineyard, and expect to get paid.

I have cast my bread upon the water, now I'm looking for a return in the bank

I have done what I could do, now I need you to do
