No Struggle, No Progress

Police Accident Tragic

A family is saddened as to a tragic vehicle accident on Thursday October 1, 2020 on Hwy 165 in Monroe LA. Two back seat passengers were injured later succumbing to injuries after being hit from behind by Louisiana State Police Trooper. When a vehicle is hit from behind its difficult to control or determine what and how to react. Rear end accidents are too unpredictable. There are 6 million car accidents in the U.S. every year, which is around 16,438 per day. Of these crashes, 22,471 caused only property damage. Over 37,000 Americans die in automobile crashes per year. The U.S. traffic fatality rate is 12.4 deaths per 100,000 people. According to Louisiana State Police reports, LA State Trooper Kaleb Reeves was responding to a crash on U. S. Hwy 165 South when his police cruiser rear-ended a 2020 Kia Forte traveling in the same lane. The Kia rotated striking a metal signal pole injuring later killing two back seat passengers AnJanne Lindsey11 and Kajenne Lindsey 18. The front seat passengers Kenneth Linsey and a front seat passenger suffered minor injuries and were released from the hospital. The crash is being investigated which remains ongoing. Also the state trooper was not injured. Sadly, the young people who passed away had no chance surviving when their vehicle was hit from behind. Please remember their family in prayer.
