No Struggle, No Progress

The End Is Near

In the last days: Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you, and you shall be hated of all nations for my namesake (Matthew 24:4-14) Reflecting back on time to the life of Joseph, how his brothers envied him because of his favor with God (Genesis 37: 11). They put him in a pit, wanted to kill him, decided to sell him instead into Egypt, where he became a great ruler. Moses and Aaron came along 430 years later bringing in the Law. Aaron was the first High Priest. The Children of Israel being of the same lineage Joseph's brothers were stiffed neck and unruly, high-minded, usurped authority over Moses (Numbers 16:23-35). Now comes Jesus, the Lord of Lords, King of Kings, to redeem mankind. Jesus met the same opposition as Joseph, Moses, the Prophet's, and every believer will face. Pilate knew that the Chief Priest delivered Jesus up because of envy (Mark 15:9-14) and they cried out again, crucify him! crucify him! crucify him! In the last days the believers in Christ Jesus will be delivered up to be afflicted (Matthew 24:9). They will be killed and shall be hated of all nations for my namesake. But he that endures to the end, the same shall be saved. As Joseph's brothers stripped him of his coat, and Jesus was stripped of his robe, so will the believers in Christ be mocked and scorned. The Jews said " Let his blood be on us, and on our children " (Luke 23: 34). Well Bless God! Superintendent, Henry Davison
