PRAYING CHILDREN

Purpose: For all children to learn, pray and confess the Word of God.

Goal: For all children to have an intimate relationship with God through prayer & His Word.

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Romans 12:19

Prayer: Father, I choose this day to commit my way to You. When I am hurt by others, give me the strength to resist seeking revenge, choosing instead to trust in You and Your integrity. I thank You, Lord, that You will defend me.

Confession: I believe my God can work and accomplish His will in my life and in the lives of those who hurt me. I have the supernatural power of God’s faith at work in my heart, and I let God be the one who defends me. I will not take matters into my own hands. Vengeance is His, and He will repay.

Wednesday and Thursday

Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink; for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Romans 12:20

Prayer: Father, I praise You for giving me Your Holy Spirit to fill and empower me so that I can love everyone in Your name and Your strength. According to Your Word, if my enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. When I walk in love towards those who hurt me, it heaps conviction on them. Lord, I pray that my words and actions reflect Your love and grace so that they will want to know You.

Confession: I love my enemies with the love of God and I will do well toward them.

Friday and Saturday

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21

Prayer: Father, strengthen me today through Your Spirit dwelling within me so that I won’t let evil conquer me, but conquer evil by doing good. May my life reveal Your holiness and Your power, so others may come to worship You, too.

Confession: I am a child of God. I live on a higher level. I do not fight evil with evil; instead I overcome evil with good.
