No Struggle, No Progress
It is written that if you have 100 sheep and 1 of them go astray, you should leave the 99 that are still in the fold and seek to find the 1 that is lost. This is a fundamental teaching of Jesus that those who claim to follow Him seem to have forgotten. I was inspired to write this poem as a reminder to us of our duty to those who are lost. My prayer is that we would honestly examine our practices to see how they measure up with the teachings of Jesus and find the strength to make the adjustments that will bring us more in line with the message He brought. I LOVE YALL !
"1 LOST FROM THE 100" (MATTHEW 18 : 12-14)

Since the Lord has anointed our heads with oil, day and night we should toil,
just like we're Hebrew slaves
We should be working to set the captives free, spreading love, joy and peace,
trying to give back the gift He gave.
To the ones with their heads hung down, faces tattooed with a frown,
because they don't know which way to go
So, they fuss and fight, trust the gun and the knife,
and drown their sorrows in dope.
Because they don't know that love is a verb, they have never seen God's words,
wearing flesh like it was clothes
So, they are asking, "Where is Mary's little baby, when I need someone tosave me,
from a world whose heart is cold"?
We must do our best, to live the life we profess,
and put some flesh on the words from our mouth
By feeding the hungry, visiting the jailed, and giving the homeless somewhere to dwell,
bringing those in who are out.
We shouldn't limit our work, to the four walls inside the church,
because we already (should) have the word
But, we should also help those who live in the allies, who are call mammies and pappies,
that we have kicked to the curve.
When Jesus was here, He made it so clear,
that STEVIE wouldn't have to WONDER
About what we should do, if 1 sheep in our crew,
was Lost From The 100.
