Parkview Shooting 2 Dead

Hearts are saddened with the deaths of two more people at Parkview Apartments in Monroe LA. Mothers and families are grieving behind a shooting which left two Black Males dead in a double homicide on Tuesday September 1, 2020 before 8 am. According to Monroe Police, Officers found the bodies of LaMarcus Platter and Oyah Smith in the parking lot. Both victims had suffered fatal gunshot wounds. Its not know why this act of violence occurred by those who reside have an idea. Some of this occurrence was captured on facebook live. Police are searching for three suspects and have issued murder warrants for Daniel J. Towns 22, Mario Jones 19 and Delarrious Jones 28. This is the third act of violence which has been committed in the Parkview Apartment Complex in 2020. Seven Blacks and children have died at the Parkview Apartments due to gun violence. Police suspect this violence was between the victims and the suspects. Now five or more families will suffer due to this act of violence. The investigation into the case is ongoing and police urge anyone with information pertaining to this shooting to please contact the Monroe Police Department at 318-329-2600 or contact Crime Stoppers of North Delta at 318-388-2274. There are three sides to every story, this was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or the other side of this story.
