No Struggle, No Progress
Death rates for Black and people of color are very alarming as many are dying, while many could have been saved. This is a story about a David Grissom who went to the hospital three times and died, but maybe could be still living. A Monroe man has gone to glory going to hospital emergency rooms on three separate occasions complaining of not feeling well and suffering respiratory problems. Everyone knows when they don't feel well and when they need professional health care. Many try not to go the hospital emergency room unless they are in dire straits physically. It's a real bad time for people to become sick due to COVID-19 while not being able to visit loved ones hospitalized, which makes illnesses difficult. Grissom had underlying conditions and allegedly went to one local hospital emergency twice while being sent home. Still feeling bad, he stayed at home one day, yet was still feeling bad, so the next day he went to another local hospital emergency room only to allegedly die waiting to be seen or to get an emergency room diagnosis. His family like hundreds of thousands are devastated at his untimely passing. With the supposedly greatest country in the world the United States leading the world with Coronavirus deaths while Germany has only experienced only 1000 deaths wonder what is not being told to us, knowing it's something very wrong with this picture while a presidential election year looms. Over 180,000 Americans have died due COVID -19. David Grissom went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2020. His memorial service were Wednesday August 19, 2020. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or the other side of this story.
