No Struggle, No Progress

Fatal Stabbing

It's hard to figure how a 62-year-old and a 17-year-old came into contact with other, unless they are family or know each other. Usually when strange events occur, there are one of three reasons. According to police reports on Friday July 9, 2020, police were summoned to the 1600 block of South First Street in Monroe LA to a shooting. Upon officer arrival, a 17-year-old male was found with stab wounds to his back and chest. The youth was transported to a local hospital, succumbing to injuries. Witnesses identified suspect Eddie J. Hall who stabbed the youth during a fight while running away afterwards. The suspect was arrested and was charged with one count of second-degree murder. Details of how the fight began and what lead to the stabbing were unclear. Only God knows and those who witnessed this horrible incident. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or the other side of this story. You make the news; we only print it.
