No Struggle, No Progress
In the book of Romans we find Paul’s commitment to serve’ Romans 12:1-2 states - (1) I beseech you therefore, brethren; by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service, (2) And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind; that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. These verses summarize the power and purpose of living the life of a Christian. The Christian life is to be acceptable to God consisting of rendering service and making sacrifices that are acceptable to God. The Christian life that one lives should speak for him or her, this includes the service that he or she gives to those in need. In order to live this type of life involves a commitment to God. By living a Christian life you will not be overcome by Satan’s evil. You will overcome evil with good according to Romans 12:21. This type of life will reveal Christ in you and will reflect the righteousness of God in you. Your commitment to God reveals who you are and speak for you. You will let love abide. You will overcome evil because of the life you live and reflect the righteousness of God in you. Always remember with your commitment to God comes real responsibilities.
