No Struggle, No Progress
Roy Flynn Walker was born August 12, 1945 to the late Lottie Mae Walker of Rayville, LA. He went on to be with the Lord on Friday, June 5, 2020 quietly at his home. Roy confessed Christ as his Lord and savior at a very early age while attending Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, La. Roy was a proud graduate of Carroll High School Class of 1965. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and later retired from the Ouachita Parish School System. Roy was an artist and loved to draw as well as play music. He played several musical instruments, his favorite being the drums in which he traveled throughout the states playing with several bands and numerous venues. Roy was an accomplished sought after musician. His Aunt Ruth Ward and two brothers, Ray and Charles Walker preceded him in death. Roy lovingly leaves to cherish his daughter, Karondalyn Walker Baton Rouge LA., Gloria Willis Walker Monroe LA, cousins Ricky Reddix Monroe, LA, Francis Ruth Riley and a truly devoted and special friend, Bertha Nelson Little Rock AR. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home TBA.
