No Struggle, No Progress
In Matthew 5:48, Jesus told all men to be perfect even as his father in heaven is perfect. Jesus expects men to keep God's commandments, all the time for their own sake. During the coronavirus pandemic many yards have Psalm 91 signs in them. Psalm 91 promises God's protection from harm and danger, because you are covered by his word if you keep it. In the book of Daniel, the 6th chapter, Daniel was thrown into a den of lions. because he prayed often and was holy and upright, the lions couldn't hurt him. God expects us to be holy and blameless before him in love [ Ephesians 1:4 - 6] then he can cover us from fear of disease, terrorism, other destructive force. When we make the Lord our refuge even the most high our habitation; there shall no evil befall us neither shall any plagues come near our dwelling [ Psalm 91 : 9 - 10 ] .Sin invites trouble into our lives, put away evil , because Satan as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour . [ 1 Peter 5: 8] As Daniel prayed three times a day, we must also, warn the ungodly of the consequences of wickedness. The blessings, provisions and presence of God comes upon a perfect and upright life. Choose life, not death. If Daniel had sin in his life the lions would have devoured him. Let's honor God by living holy and righteous. With the fruit of our lips giving thanks and praise to God in Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. May God Bless, Superintendent, Henry Davison
