Fatal I-20 Accident

Early Tuesday, May 5, 2020, a vehicle accident on I-20 east near Monroe claimed the life of Johnny Ray Green. News of this tragic accident was reported by State Police Troop F, who responded to the car crash involving an 18-wheeler. The 18-wheeler struck Green's vehicle in the outside lane on the eastbound side of I-20. The truck allegedly struck the vehicle Green was driving, and unfortunately, pronounced dead by Ouachita Parish Coroner's Office. The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured and not ticketed or charged. The accident is under investigation, and toxicology analysis was taken. So this year, 18 crashes (with 19 deaths) have been reported and investigated by State Police Troop F.
